My Story
November 16, 1979
Early Years
I was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. 🇭🇹 Thanks to my dad, I was exposed to music at a very early age. He is an accomplished Haitian pianist and I think my artistic talents might have developed from listening to jazz music all the time!

Lucky 16
So there’s a theme going here. 16 has been my lucky number since birth, obviously! But it was my dad’s before it became my own. My first music album got delivered to me on my birthday, November 16th, 1998. My professional music career officially began that day!

The Birth of a New Passion
My dream as a kid was to become a rockstar! So the idea of college for me was to attend music school, sharpen my skills and launch my career. My parents had other plans for me though. They strongly suggested I attend college for plan”B” which probably was plan “A” for them! They were paying, so how could I contest right? I have to thank them for that because attending business school was one of the best decisions I could have made at that time. At Bryant University I graduated with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Psychology. This move changed the landscape of my career and open the doors to another passion of mine: Marketing.

A New Chapter Begins
Once you graduate college, it hits you. This is it! Things just got real! I had no idea at the time that I was just in line for a roller coaster ride all along. So I sat in my car and buckled up. I had one year to work in the United States on my student visa to get as much experience as I could before heading back home to Haiti. I started out in sales in the B2B space, selling advertising to local businesses. Then, I transitioned to B2C, selling water purifying systems over the phone.

The Music Years
I know what you are thinking. Weren’t the music years behind me? They never were, really. They simply took a back seat to my studies. But as my visa was about to expire, I faced with another challenge. I couldn’t go back to Haiti because of major political unrest. So I had to find a way to stay in the United States. I decided to go back to college on a new student visa, while I wait for my green card. And this time around, I decided to learn music business and film production. I simultaneously relaunched my music career. My brother and I not only opened a music studio, but we also started a new band and released our 3rd album in the process. We toured many cities and countries but never exploded like I thought we could. We had the talent but in my honest opinion, we didn’t have the work ethic. So the band broke up without ever reaching its full potential.

Welcome To The Pros!
At this point, I finally got my green card to live and work in the United States, officially starting my marketing career. I began as a Haitian Diaspora expert, helping companies from Haiti communicate and do business with Haitians living abroad. This chapter in my career really helped me understand the importance of communication in marketing. In order to reach your audience, you need to speak its language! And I don’t only mean that literally. I mean that you need to know how to engage with that audience taking into account how they feel and think!
